On March 12, 2024, in Damascus, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhammad Ali, with the President of the Syrian Olympic Committee, President of the General Sports Federation of the Syrian Arab Republic, Firas Mualla.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of sports between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Syrian Arab Republic.

“In addition, the importance of the sports sector was noted and ways of its development in the interests of the two friendly countries were considered through the exchange of experience, visits and sports camps in Abkhazia and Syria,” Ambassador Ali informed.

The meeting was also attended by Geis Al-Harki, Counselor, Head of the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the SAR.
