On March 12, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, and Ge Zhili, an expert on China, who is in Abkhazia on a visit.

During the meeting, the prospects for establishing cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the CPR were discussed, with an emphasis on holding of presentation events about the tourism potential, culture of the Republic of Abkhazia in China, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

Inal Ardzinba and Ge Zhili agreed to continue consultations.
