On May 17, a meeting of Alexander Vataman, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Transdniestrian Republic was held with Vitaly Ignatiev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR in the Official Representation of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The meeting was attended by Aleksandr Stetsyuk, the Deputy Foreign Minister.

The sides discussed certain issues of bilateral relations and their promising areas in the current year, and also they noted the effective interaction of the Official Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR.

During the meeting, Vitaly Ignatiev congratulated the staff of the Official Representation of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the whole staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia on the Establishment Day of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia.

In his congratulations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic noted that the professional experience, responsibility and dedication of Abkhaz diplomats provided a solid basis for building of mutually beneficial relations with foreign partners, allowed the Republic of Abkhazia to gain international recognition, and also contribute to the achievement of significant goals in the foreign policy arena.

Vitaly Ignatiev expressed the confidence that constructive cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries will continue to develop dynamically in order to resolve topical issues of the foreign policy of Transdniestria and Abkhazia.
