Igor Akhb, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation, Ilya Guniya, Raul Lolua and Valery Agrba the deputies of the National Assembly as part of the Abkhaz delegation participated in the international conference “The Role of Parliaments in the Modern World”. The conference was dedicated to the 25-th anniversary of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The event was opened by Valentina Matvienko, the Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The delegation met with Konstantin Kosachev, the Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on international affairs during which further steps for cooperation between Russia and Abkhazia were outlined.
