The working meeting between Alexander Korshunov, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR with Alexander Vataman, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR and Vitaly Yankovsky, the Head of the Official Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the PMR was held today.

The practical issues of interaction both through the parliaments of the Republics and between the Supreme Council of the PMR and the Official Representations of the Republic of Abkhazia in the PMR and the Republic of South Ossetia in the PMR were discussed during the confidential conversation.

The parties summed up the work in the relevant areas of cooperation in 2019 and discussed issues of further development of cooperation during the current year. The topic of the participation of deputies of legislative bodies in monitoring of elections as international observers (the election of the President of the Republic in March in Abkhazia, a single voting day in November in Transnistria) was voiced among the working topics of 2020.

In an interested vein, the parties discussed steps to strengthen of the traditionally friendly relations of the fraternal Republics, including through joint festive events, primarily those related to the occasion of the 75-th anniversary of the Great Victory. In addition, Alexander Korshunov drew attention to the fact that the guests from Abkhazia and South Ossetia are waiting for important anniversary dates that Pridnestrovie will celebrate in 2020 - this is the 30-th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the 30-th anniversary of the Supreme Council of the PMR.

The Parties agreed to continue an effective dialogue and hold the bilateral meetings in the future.
