On January 22, 1993 the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic was signed. This document laid the foundation for the establishment of interstate cooperation, laying the necessary foundation for the development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation between our countries.

The treaty was a vivid reflection of the mutual desire of our peoples to develop mutual relations in various directions.

The Abkhaz-Transnistrian interstate cooperation demonstrates a high level of mutual understanding, desire to expand contacts at different levels and has considerable potential.

The current dynamics of relations instills strong confidence in the need to build further mutually beneficial co-operation between our countries. We are confident that through our joint efforts the agenda of Abkhaz-Transnistrian inter-State cooperation will be actively implemented for the benefit of our countries and peoples.
