The article “Abkhazia is a country of sports” was published in the state sports newspaper of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela EL LIDER (El Leader) on November 12, 2018.
The article is dedicated to Zaur Gvadzhava, the Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela who from an early age was involved in the world of boxing. For more than 50 years in sport, Zaur Gvadzhava went through all stages from a boxer to an AIBA judge and for many years assisted in the training of boxers of the national teams of Cuba and Venezuela.
The article tells on two books, the author of which is Zaur Gvadzhava, "BOX" and "BOX-2". In his books, Zaur Gvadzhava shares his knowledge and experience accumulated over many years guiding the boxer step by step so that he can reach the highest level. What really distinguishes these books from others is specific and easily mastered training plans that will guide during the training of athletes.
The books are in the National Library, the Library of the Ministry of Sport, the Olympic Committee and the Boxing Federation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela as well as the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Nicaragua.
The Venezuelan Boxing Federation sent a letter of thanks to Zaur Gvadzhava in appreciation of his work in writing books. The letter was also signed by presidents, judges, arbitrators and athletes of more than 20 sports institutes from all of Venezuela.
