On November 15, 2022 Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Syrian Arab Republic, Counselor of the Embassy Muhammad Ali held a working meeting with the Deputy Director of the Department of Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Minister-Counselor Samir Bashur.

During the meeting, the establishment of a quadripartite consultation mechanism at the level of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Russian Federation, the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of South Ossetia was discussed.

For his part, Muhammad Ali presented to Mr. Bashur a list of members of the working group from the Abkhazian side, which will participate in the elaboration of the establishment of this mechanism. The mechanism involves the discussion of cooperation in the consular, humanitarian, cultural, trade, economic and other areas at the level of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
