On March 5, 2023, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Zaur Gvadzhava, took part in the closing ceremony of the “World Meeting for the Relevance of the Bolivarian Ideas of the Revolutionary Leader in the 21st Century”, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the death of Comandante Hugo Chavez.

The event took place at the Teresa Carreno Theater in Caracas.

The commemorative event, headed by the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro Moros, was attended by delegations from Latin America and the Caribbean, in particular, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega, the President of the Republic of Ecuador Luis Arce, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of the State of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Ralph Gonsalves, former President of the Republic of Cuba Raul Castro, former President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia Evo Morales, the delegation of the Russian Federation headed by the President of the ROSNEFT company Igor Sechin and others.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela and high-ranking representatives of the state authorities of the country.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro Moros delivered a speech dedicated to the memory of Comandante Hugo Chavez.

During the event, musical Venezuelan folklore was presented.
