These are important for the Republic of Abkhazia topics: the problem of non-recognition of the vital documents issued in Abkhazia (birth certificate, high school diploma, diploma of higher education, etc.), biased and politicized reports of the OSCE and the EU institutions in the field of violations of human rights in Abkhazia, quarterly reports of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia on the situation with human rights in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the incident involving the inappropriate reaction of Georgia to the supplement of the "Sabah" newspaper dedicated to the Republic of Abkhazia, the situation with the crossing of the state border with Georgia through the checkpoint Ingur, the continuing efforts of international isolation of the citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia etc.

He noted that the representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia also gave samples of foreign and diplomatic passports to the Co-chairs of the Geneva International discussions to further substantive discussion of the possibility of their recognition as travel documents, as well as passed through the Co-chairs a letter to the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini with a request to assist in the solution of this important humanitarian issue.

The Abkhaz side also draws the attention of the participants of the Geneva discussions to the intensification of military partnership of NATO with Georgia. "This year more than three military exercises were held in Georgia. And, of course, this cannot but cause some concern in Abkhazia. Adequate reaction from our side is to strengthen military partnership with Russia", - said the head of the Political Department of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia Timur Shanava.

The following 39th round of the Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia is scheduled for 28-29 March 2017.
