The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Daur Kove sent a congratulatory note to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Russia.
The congratulation, in particular, says:
"The holiday of June 12 is one of the main symbols of modern Russian statehood. It symbolizes the unity of the multinational people of Russia, brings together all who are proud of the centuries-old history of their Motherland and multiplies its glory and power.
On this day 27 years ago, the adoption of the Declaration on the State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation took place. The first step was taken towards a strong and prosperous state in which every citizen will feel as a protected and respected member of society.
Today Russia, contrary to existing sanctions, has one of the largest economies in the world, takes firm positions in the international arena, continuing to confidently strengthen the authority of a great power."
