The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt in connection with a series of terrorist attacks, which took place in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria.

The note says, in particular:

"News of a series of inhuman terrorist acts taking place in the churches of Tanta and Alexandria, as well as near the training center of the police of Tanta was received in Abkhazia with the feeling of deep empathy, which resulted in numerous casualties among civilians and aimed at inciting inter-confessional hostility and destabilization of the situation in Egypt.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia condemns the terrorist crimes committed against the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt and calls on the world community to unite in the fight against terrorism."
