The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the 12-th anniversary of the start of Georgia's large-scale aggression against the Republic of South Ossetia.

It is said:

“The war unleashed by the Georgian authorities shocked the world with its treachery and cruelty. The united and courageous people of South Ossetia selflessly entered the battle against those who encroached on their native land. We will always be grateful to Russia, which came to the aid of the South Ossetian people in these difficult days.

Years will pass, but the experience will never be consigned to oblivion. The people of the Republic of Abkhazia today, together with the fraternal South Ossetian people, share their pain of irreparable loss. A blessed memory of those who died in those terrible days. May there always be a peaceful sky over South Ossetia.”
