The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the occasion of the 12-th anniversary of the recognition by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela of the state sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The recognition by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela of the state sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Abkhazia made it possible to realize the desire of the people of Abkhazia for freedom and independence, confirmed their historical right to independent development and a worthy creative life.

The people of the Republic of Abkhazia will always remember with a feeling of deep gratitude the fraternal support rendered by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Commander Hugo Chavez and the people of Venezuela to our country.
