The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic on the occasion of the national holiday - the Evacuation Day of Foreign Forces.

“The historic day of April 17, 1946 - the day of the evacuation of foreign forces when the last French soldier left the territory of Syria is forever inscribed to the history of the Syrian Arab Republic. The Evacuation Day is a celebration of victory, a symbol of peace, independence and national unity of the Syrian people.
The sovereignty of the Syrian state has overcome many durability tests for 73 years but the Syrian people defended their right to independence each time and gave resistance to those who tried to impose their will on them. The state and society of Syria overcome all adversities, confidently solve national issues with honor and dignity.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia congratulates the people of the Syrian Arab Republic on the Day of Evacuation, wishes to establish peace as soon as possible throughout the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic and inexhaustible forces in restoring the state to future generations.
