The Republic of Abkhazia celebrates the 24th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of 1992-1993 on September 30.
The leadership and the staff of the Abkhaz Ministry for Foreign Affairs took part in the ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers on the Memorial of Glory in Sukhum as well as on the grave of Vladislav Ardzinba, the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia in the village of Eshera.
The Patriotic War of the nation of Abkhazia of 1992-1993, which lasted 413 days, culminated by the Victory over the Georgian aggressor. The entire territory of Abkhazia was liberated from the Georgian troops on September 30, 1993.
