Anatoly Bibilov, the President of South Ossetia met with Alan Elbakiyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia.
Anatoly Bibilov congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of his anniversary noting the great merits of Alan Elbakiyev both in the ranks of the defenders of the Fatherland and in developing bilateral relations with fraternal Abkhazia.

You represent the brotherly Republic of Abkhazia where you also have success and the leadership of Abkhazia highly appreciates your efforts to maintain and develop relations between the republics of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. You have gained respect from the people and from the leadership of the Republic of South Ossetia. These are great achievements. And I am proud of friendship with you,” said Anatoly Bibilov.
The President of South Ossetia expressed confidence in the further development and strengthening of the bilateral South Ossetian-Abkhaz relations.
In turn, Alan Elbakiyev thanked the Head of the South Ossetia for his appreciation of his contribution to the security of the Republic of South Ossetia.
“By the will of fate, I am now representing the fraternal Republic of Abkhazia, relations with which are developing dynamically and thanks to the agreement signed earlier, which covers all spheres of state activity, they have become even stronger. It remains only to catch up in the sphere of trade and economic relations and for this there is a large bilateral interest of business people and business. I think 2019 will be fruitful,” he said.
