The Georgian troops invaded Abkhazia and the Georgian-Abkhaz war began on August 14, 1992, which lasted 413 days and ended with the victory of the Abkhaz people on September 30, 1993.

The Head of the country's Foreign Affairs Agency also took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the State Memorial Complex of V. Ardzinba, the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia in v. Lower Eshera.

Thousands of defenders of the Motherland were killed in the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia. Abkhazia managed to defend its freedom and independence at the cost of the incredible efforts and lives.
