Daur Kove together with Lyudmila Skorik, Chief sanitary doctor inspected a number of schools in the republic

On February 23, within the framework of order of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Government, Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia made inspection of readiness of schools to resume educational process in conditions of risk of spread of new coronavirus infection COVID-19.

Together with Ludmila Skorik, the chief sanitary doctor and Valeri Avidzba, deputy head of Gudauta district, the Minister checked the readiness of schools for the learning process in conditions of pandemic and inspected educational institutions for compliance with sanitary norms.

The program of the inspection tour included a visit to school № 11 in Sukhum, a school in a village Aatsi of Gudauta district, schools № 1 and № 2 in Kulanyrkhua village of Gudauta district and schools № 3 and № 4 of Gudauta town.

After the visit, Daur Kove said that the authorities of the inspected schools took all the necessary measures to resume the educational process and tried to follow sanitary norms to protect students and teachers from the coronavirus infection. However, it was noted, that a number of educational institutions are in need of current repairs.

Liudmila Skoryk, Chief Sanitary Doctor, concluded at the end of the inspection: "The staff and children of the inspected schools know the basic requirements for the prevention of coronavirus infection. Schools are provided with hand sanitizers and liquid soap for hygiene. All listed requirements of sanitary norms for Covid-19 nonproliferation are observed in educational institutions".
