On April 29, the Media Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia hosted online consultations of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Department of Information and Press of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The main speakers were Inal Ardzinba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, on the Abkhaz side, and Maria Zakharova, Director of the Department of Information and Press of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on the Russian side.

Within the framework of the videoconference, the issues of intensification of cooperation between the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Department of Information and Press of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation were discussed.

The main attention was paid to different technologies of promotion of information in the media space in modern conditions, formats of response and counteraction to the spread of unreliable information throws from the West, Ukraine, and Georgia in the conditions of tightening of sanctions policy.

During the consultation, Inal Ardzinba told about the work of the Media Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia and the information policy pursued by the foreign ministry of the country.

Maria Zakharova spoke about the specifics of the information work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the use of social networks to promote information, as well as shared her experience in combating fakes.

The event was followed by a press conference, during which Maria Zakharova answered journalists' questions.
