On January 17, 2022, Inal Ardzinba the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met with Ibrahim Avidzba, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

Ibrahim Avidzba informed Inal Ardzinba about current activities of the Plenipotentiary Mission of the Republic of Abkhazia in Turkey, in particular, about joint work carried out with public organizations of Abkhaz and Caucasian Diasporas in Turkey.

Inal Ardzinba, head of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia stressed the importance of cooperation with Turkish NGOs to strengthen the objective image of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The Plenipotentiary Representative also reported on the initiatives being prepared for implementation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres.

Plenipotentiary Mission of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey was established in 1994 in Istanbul on the instructions of the first President of the Republic of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba. Ibrahim Avidzba was appointed as Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Turkey by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia on March 18, 2021.
