The Abkhaz Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft Memorandum of Understanding in the sphere of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Living Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic.

"To consider the draft Memorandum of Understanding in the sphere of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic agreed," it is said the government order.

The draft of the Memorandum was presented by Irakli Tuzhba, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia. The document will contribute to the strengthening of relations with Syria, in particular, the foreign political departments of the two countries, he said.
