The Abkhaz Foreign Ministry got acquainted with the commentary published by the Political Council of the «Unified Abkhazia » RPP.
In this regard, we consider it necessary to note the following:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia is the central body of state administration, which exercises the functions of elaborating and implementing state policy in the sphere of international relations. Within its competence, the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry has a sufficiently wide range of powers and has the right to y make statements independently or comments on issues within the scope of responsibility of the agency.
In addition, from the previously published comments of the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry does not mean at all that we intend to refuse from participation in the Geneva international discussions. On the contrary, we are convinced that this negotiating format, for all its shortcomings, remains the only instrument for the international positioning of the Republic of Abkhazia.
