Alina Chanba, the head of the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, said that for the first time in Abkhazia, a diplomatic uniform and insignia are being developed for employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, embassies, representative offices of the Republic of Abkhazia in foreign states, having the diplomatic ranks of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary 1-st and 2-nd class.

Uniforms are introduced for use at official diplomatic protocol events. 

The main elements of the uniform will be: 

A blue jacket with silver embroidery on the collar, with the image of the Colchis boxwood, which is especially revered in the everyday life and ethnic group of our people. The cuffs will bear insignia in accordance with the assigned diplomatic ranks.

The presentation of the diplomatic uniform will take place at the Media Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.
