Bagrat Khutaba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic met with Asghar Mirzai, Secretary General of the Joint Iranian-Syrian Chamber of Commerce.

During the talk, the sides exchanged opinions on the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

Bagrat Khutaba, the head of the Abkhazian diplomatic mission expressed his confidence in strengthening of brotherly and friendly relations between the two states.

In turn, Asghar Mirzai stressed that the meeting is important for both Iran and Abkhazia and expressed readiness to assist in strengthening of bilateral relations between the business community of Iran and the Republic of Abkhazia.
Bagrat Khutaba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to Syria received an invitation from Asghar Mirzai to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As a result of the meeting the Iranian side expressed its desire to hold an exhibition of Iranian products in the Republic of Abkhazia.

At the end of the meeting, Bagrat Khutaba handed a Caucasian silver dagger to Asgar Mirzai as a commemorative gift.
