Irakli Tuzhba, the Acting Foreign Minister, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met with the delegation from Jordan headed by Monyr Sober, the Vice-President of the Senate of Jordan on July 5.
The delegation also included: Samih Pino, the Senator, the former Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Association of Jordan; Davoud Hakuz, Major General, the former Assistant of the Director of Public Security of Jordan; Mohammed Raslan, the former Deputy of the Parliament of Jordan; Ali Bakizh, the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia in Jordan.
Inver Alshundba, the head of the Middle East and Africa Department; Astamur Bagatelia, an officer of the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry took part in the meeting аrom the Abkhaz side.
The establishment and strengthening of bilateral trade and economic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is the purpose of the visit of the delegation to Abkhazia.
Irakli Tuzhba greeted the guests and noted the interest of the Abkhaz side in establishing full-format cooperation with Jordan in the economic, trade, humanitarian and cultural spheres. It was also noted that representatives of the Abkhaz-Abazin and Circassian diasporas reside in Jordan, who occupy key positions in the state and society and can contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, the members of the delegation of Jordan thanked the Abkhaz side for the warm welcome and expressed their readiness to contribute to the further development of relations between the two countries.
The parties exchanged souvenirs at the end of the meeting.
