Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Kan Taniya held a meeting with the head of the regional office of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Laila Omar.
On March 22, the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia hosted a meeting with the head of the UNICEF regional office Laila Omar Gad and the head of the UNICEF Sukhum office Gottfried Hanne. The meeting was also attended by the Senior Assistant of the Department for interaction with international organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Astanda Pataraia.
During the conversation, issues related to the activities of the UNICEF’s office in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia were discussed; in particular, issues related to the world practice of effective teaching methods in their native language. In addition, UNICEF expressed readiness to continue to support programs implemented in the republic in the field of healthcare.
