Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister met with Niels Scott, the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia on September 18,2018.
The meeting was also attended by Arthur Gaguliya, the Head of the Department for Interaction with International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Oleg Protsik, Peace and Development Adviser in the South Caucasus, Federica Dispensa, Project Manager, ENPARD - Joint Program of the European Union and UNDP on Rural Development, implemented in Abkhazia and Yugesh Pradhanang, project manager "HORIZONS - Promoting the sustainability of the communities of Abkhazia". The meeting was held in connection with the completion of the mandate of Niels Scott.
At the beginning of the meeting, the diplomat expressed his condolences in connection with the tragic death of Gennady Gagulia, the Prime Minister of Abkhazia.
Niels Scott thanked Daur Kove for his close cooperation and support during his tenure.
In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia noted the ongoing serious joint work, emphasizing the high level set by Niels Scott.
Daur Kove regretted the lack of work plans from international organizations for 2019.
The Minister expressed the idea of resuming the format of holding informal meetings with the heads of international organizations operating in the republic.
The meeting was held in a traditionally friendly atmosphere.
Daur Kove stressed that he would always be happy to see Niels Scott in Abkhazia as his personal guest.
