Kan Taniya, the Deputy Foreign Minister held a meeting with Johannes Van Der Klaauw, the UNHCR regional representative in the South Caucasus at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia on February 6,2018.
Aziz Rahzho, the head of the UNHCR office in Abkhazia and Ricardo McFalls, the consultant on social and economic issues of UNHCR attended the meeting as well.
Johannes Van Der Klaauw officially presented Ricardo McFalls, an international employee, social and economic consultant to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia. He will provide the expert support for a number of UNHCR projects scheduled for 2018 in Abkhazia.
The parties discussed a number of issues related to the UNHCR's ongoing projects in Abkhazia as well as the scope of the organization's activities for the current year during the meeting.
