Border Police denied entry into the territory of the Republic of Moldova for Ruslan Ladaria, the head of the Administration of the Gudauta region of the Republic of Abkhazia who was to Transdniestria by transit way for celebrating the Day of the city of Dubossary on October 23, 2018. The entry was also denied for Garry Kupalba, the Head of the Official Representation of the PMR in the Republic of Abkhazia.

The attempts of the Republic of Moldova to limit the diverse of international contacts of Transdniestria indicate the preservation of the destructive approaches of the Moldovan side.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic declares the inadmissibility of the forms of restricting the freedom of movement of people used by Moldova and regards this step as another provocative attack, undermining the foundations of bilateral interaction and discrediting the efforts of international participants of the «5 + 2» format to level any forms of restriction.

The Foreign Ministry emphasizes the long-standing nature of restrictions on freedom of movement at the Chisinau airport and note that these unacceptable actions by the Moldovan side will become one of the central themes at all levels of dialogue, including the “Permanent Conference ...” in the “5 + 2” format.
