Aslan Bzhaniya, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, awarded the highest state award, the Order “Akhdz-Apsha” of the 1 stI degree to Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

On March 21, 2023, Aslan Bzhaniya, the President of Abkhazia, signed a Decree on awarding of the Order of “Akhdz-Apsha”of the I-st degree to Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

“For a great personal contribution to the recognition of the independence of the
Republic of Abkhazia, the strengthening and development of the Abkhaz-Russian
interstate relations, to award the order “Akhdz-Apsha” (“Honor and Glory”) of the
1-st degree to Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov,” it is said in the Decree.
