The regional office of the Italian Agriculture Confederation (CIA) hosted the inauguration of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia in Italy, which was registered this year. The inauguration was attended by representatives of the medium and large business of the Apulian region, representatives of the mayoralty of the cities of the region of Apulia, local journalists and television, as well as other representatives of local and regional government.

The inauguration began with a welcome speech by the President of the CCI of Abkhazia Gennady Gagulia. A short speech was also made by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Kan Taniya. Kan Taniya stressed in his speech that attracting foreign investments is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Abkhazia, and such events can become the basis for mutually beneficial cooperation between Abkhazia and Italy.

The presentation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia was attended by the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Vito Grittani and Timur Rekvava, the mayor of the town of Sukhum Adgur Kharazia, as well as the vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia Tamila Mertskhulava. The guests present at the presentation were very interested in the possibility of establishing trade and economic relations with the Republic of Abkhazia through the opening of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia in Italy.
