The solemn meeting dedicated to the 25-th anniversary of the Abkhazian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held in the conference hall of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia on May 17, 2018.

The meeting was opened by Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister. The head of the foreign policy department of Abkhazia greeted the guests of the event and told about the main directions of the foreign policy of the republic.

With congratulatory speech to the guests were also addressed: Raul Khadzhimba, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Dmitry Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Vitaly Ignatiev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian- Moldavian Republic and Alexei Pavlovsky, the Head of the Fourth CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation who read out a greeting message from Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister of Abkhazia and Vitaly Ignatiev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR exchanged the ratification documents under the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic as part of the solemn meeting.

The guests were shown a documentary about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in the final part of the event.
