Italy hosted a conference on "The Right of Peoples to Self-Determination. Abkhazia and Great Europe".

On February 9, the Italian Chamber of Deputies hosted a conference on "The Right of Peoples to Self-Determination. Abkhazia and Great Europe".

The event was organized by Matteo Dall'Osso, a member of the Italian Parliament and the Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Abkhazia in Italy and the EU countries. The main invited guest was the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania. He made a welcoming speech in the online format, noting that the number of people in Italy interested in Abkhazia is increasing.

An analyst and geopolitical advisor to Suomi MP Monsellato also spoke during the event. She proposed to elaborate legislative instruments that would give more independence to Italian deputies to make decisions in order to determine with which country and with which people to cooperate.

The conference was also attended by Mussa Ekzekov, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the World Abkhaz-Abaza Congress, a number of Italian political experts and Kan Tania Ambassadors for special assignments of the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry and Vito Grittani.
