The video conference was held with Alba Azucena Torres Mejia, the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of Abkhazia on the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia on the eve of the 41-st anniversary of the Sandinista revolution in the Republic of Nicaragua on July 17,2020.
The event was attended by Irakli Tuzhba, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Madina Zukhba, the Head of the Department of Latin America, Asia and the Asia-Pacific Region, Alias Khashba, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of Abkhazia.
Irakli Tuzhba, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia congratulated the Ambassador and the entire Nicaraguan people on the upcoming significant date - another anniversary of the Victory of the Sandinista Revolution and also thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution to the development and strengthening of Abkhaz-Nicaraguan relations. “We are very grateful to You for Your position and support, we are further focused on strengthening and developing of our bilateral relations,” the Deputy Minister stressed.

Please accept the fraternal warm greetings from the Nicaraguan people. Today is July 17, we celebrate the day of national joy, since it was on July 17, 1979 that the dictator Anastasio Samosa left Nicaragua forever. And in two days the celebration of the 41-st anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista revolution will take place.
Alba Azucena Torres Mejia, the Ambassador of Nicaragua officially introduced Alias Khashba, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of Abkhazia noting his professional qualities and expressing the hope for the further fruitful cooperation on the bilateral agenda in the context of respect and friendship between Abkhazia and Nicaragua.
