On May 31, the Abkhaz Forum was held in Moscow at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The key task of the Abkhaz Forum is to present to a wide Russian audience the socio-economic potential of the Republic of Abkhazia, to form an attractive investment image of the Republic in the regions and cities of the Russian Federation.
The meeting of the forum was opened by Inal Ardzinba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia. In his welcoming speech, the Minister said that “in the context of a changing geopolitical reality, we all see what is happening in the world, there is a growing interest to our Republic. The leadership of our country is taking measures to increase the investment and tourist attractiveness of Abkhazia.”
Noting today the dynamic interstate Abkhaz-Russian interaction, Inal Ardzinba also added that “conditions are gradually being created for the participation of Abkhazia in the integration processes in the post-Soviet space. We pay special attention to this issue.”

During the event, the speakers, in particular were the Special Representative of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Migration and Citizenship, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots- Konstantin Zatulin, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea - Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation- Georgy Muradov, Oleg Kolesnikov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Alexander Gogolev, Senior Vice President of VTB, Editor-in-Chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international news agency, RT TV channel -Margarita Simonyan, Nikolai Baskov, Goodwill Ambassador of Abkhazia, People's Artist of the Russian Federation.
During the forum, a teleconference was held with Sukhum at the site of the press center of the international agency Sputnik-Abkhazia, within the framework of which Konstantin Novikov, director of the Tamysh Village tourist complex, development director of the transport company "Garuda-Express" Astan Bartsits, Anna Adleiba, head of the international relations department of the Abkhazian State University.
Official representatives of the Russian Federation, the Donetsk People's Republic, the Luhansk People's Republic, Palestine, the Republic of South Ossetia, Tajikistan, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Nicaragua, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Bahrain, Qatar, Angola, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau and Panama took part in the Abkhaz Forum
