The Youth Support Center "The Future of Abkhazia" was launched in Moscow

The Center for Youth Support "The Future of Abkhazia" was launched at the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation. The Center will provide assistance to Abkhaz youth in terms of training and internships in Russia on a competitive basis. The mechanism of the Centre will work in parallel to the resources of Rossotrudnichestvo.

Edgar Gvazava, Coordinator of the Center spoke about how the candidates will be selected:

"The selection mechanism is on a competitive basis: the candidate fills out a questionnaire on the website of the Embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicates the area in which he wants to improve his skills and sends his resume.

In case of passing the first stage, the candidate is invited for an interview with employees of the Embassy of Abkhazia in Russia. During the interview, the candidate will have to demonstrate their general erudition, knowledge and competence in the field in which they want to upgrade their skills," Gvazava said.

Parameters of the Center "Future of Abkhazia" were discussed by Inal Ardzinba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia at working meetings with the heads of leading Russian universities - Anatoly Torkunov, Rector of MSIIR (U) of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Nikita Anisimov, Rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Alexander Yakovenko and Stanislav Prokofyev, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Rector of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The parties agreed on close cooperation and defined a joint plan of action for the near future.
