Daur Kove, the Abkhaz Foreign Minister met with Federica Dispenza, the Project Manager of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on November 7,2019. The meeting was also attended by Simon Agrba, the Project Specialist in the framework of the UNDP and Arthur Gaguliya, the Head of the Department of interaction with international organizations of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia.

Federica Dispenza informed the Minister on the implementation and prospects of the Joint Program of the European Union and the UNDP on the development of the rural territories of Abkhazia.

D. Kove, the Foreign Minister noted the importance of the activities carried out by the Organization and also suggested thinking on the project that will mainly focus on creating jobs for residents of villages in Abkhazia.

The joint strategy of the European Union and the United Nations Development Program on the rural development began to be implemented in 2017 in three districts of Abkhazia: Gudauta, Gagra and Ochamchyra.
