On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Plenipotentiary Representative office of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia invited the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia, the first Plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Turkish Republic Vladimir Avidzba, as well as the current Plenipotentiary representative of Abkhazia in Turkey Inar Gitsba.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Arshba, Assistant Minister Georgy Dumava, Chairman of the State Committee on Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia Vadim Kharazia and Head of the Middle East and Africa Department of the MFA of Abkhazia Inver Alshundba.
Opening the meeting Daur Kove said: "I am very pleased to welcome you at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia. Today, after 23 years we can talk about the work and activities of the Abkhaz representation in the Republic of Turkey. You led the representation of Abkhazia in the most difficult times for our country and you have done a great job. It is the work for our Diaspora and the work on cooperation and strengthening of possible relations with the Turkish Republic. We appreciate the great contribution that you personally have made to the development of relations with the Republic of Turkey "- he said.
"The Plenipotentiary Representative office led by Inar Gitsba since 2014 continues incorporated traditions and seeks to bring the Abkhazian-Turkish relations to a new level. Dear friends, let me sincerely thank you personally and the entire staff of the Plenipotentiary Representative office of the Republic of Abkhazia in Turkey on the 23rd anniversary, and wish you continued success in your responsible work. I am confident that the work that was begun by you, will be continued in future and we will see the results "- the Minister stressed.
Vladimir Avidzba in turn thanked Daur Kove for the invitation. He also stressed that he would be very glad to be useful for Abkhazia and looks forward to a long partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the end of the meeting, Daur Kove invited Vladimir Avidzba to become a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and presented a commemorative gift.
