The meeting of Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia with Harry Kupalba, the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of Abkhazia took place on December 25,2018.
The results of the cooperation of Abkhazia and Transdniestria in the outgoing year were summed up during the conversation.
The head of the foreign ministry of Abkhazia noted the high level of relations between the countries and the fruitful work carried out in 2018.
This year marks 25 years since the signing of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Abkhazia.
A number of bilateral visits took place during the year, including the delegation of part of which were Vitaly Ignatiev, the Foreign Minister and Alexander Stetsyuk , the Deputy Minister to Abkhazia on the occasion of the 25-th anniversary of the founding of the Armenian Foreign Ministry as well as the delegation led by Alexander Scherba, the Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council on the celebration of the 25-th anniversary of the Victory and Independence in the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia 1992-1993.
The meeting also discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two republics in 2019.
