The working meeting between Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Maxim Zabaluev, the Head of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Abkhazia took place at the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia on November 1,2019.

Daur Kove informed M. Zabaluev that the work to search for the missing was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia of October 23, 2019 on the commission on the issues of the people of Abkhazia missing during the Patriotic War of 1992-1993. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will form a commission which will include the representatives of the interested departments in the context of this resolution and in order to further implement work aimed at searching for the missing persons.

D. Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs also noted that the work started on the project will continue and the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia will make every effort to facilitate the work of the Committee of the Red Cross.

In turn, M. Zabaluev, the Head of the ICRC Mission in Abkhazia thanked the Minister for the meeting and spoke on the activities carried out by the ICRC in Abkhazia as well as the plans and prospects for the near future.
