The meeting between Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia , Toivo Claar, the EU Special Representatives for the South Caucasus, Bjorn Cuiene, the political adviser of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus as well as and other employees of the office of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus was held in the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia on February 16,2018.

Irakly Tuzhba, the Assistant of the Minister, Arthur Gaguliya, the Head of the Department for Interaction with International Organizations, Asta Chukbar, the Senior Assistant of the Information and Analytical Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia took part in the meeting from the Abkhaz side.

The meeting participants discussed a number of important political and humanitarian issues as well as exchanged views on key issues of the agenda and the thematic content of the upcoming 43-rd round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia. The topic of the regional environmental security was also touched upon during the meeting,

The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
