Another online videoconference with the Republic of Nicaragua was held

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia hosted another video conference with the Republic of Nicaragua as part of the work of the joint Abkhazian-Nicaraguan interdepartmental working group on cooperation in the field of education, culture, sports and youth policy. 

From the Abkhazian side, the event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Odyssey Bigvava, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua  Inar Ladaria, Acting Minister of Culture Dinara Smyr, Deputy Minister of Education and Language Policy Ada Kvarchelia, Deputy Head of the State Committee for Youth and Sports Madina Vouba, Head of the Department of Latin America, Asia and the Asia-Pacific Region of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Madina Zukhba, Coordinator for Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sariya Dzhopua. 

From the Nicaraguan side, the meeting was attended by the Adviser on Investments, Trade and International Cooperation of the Office of the President Laureano Ortega Murillo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arlette Marenko Mesa, Co-General Director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture (NIC) Luis Morales, Adviser to the President on Education Salvador Vanegas, General Director of the Ruben Dario National Theatre Ramon Rodriguez, Sandinista Youth Coordinator Milton Ruiz, Leonel Rugama Cultural Leader Oscar Perez. 

  
During the meeting, the current cooperation between the ministries was discussed in accordance with the program of joint events for 2022 approved by the parties in November last year. 

In his welcoming speech, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Odyssey Bigvava, emphasized the special significance of the Abkhazian-Nicaraguan relations, and also noted that over the years of cooperation between the two states, strong bonds of friendship based on mutual trust and respect have been formed. 
 
Odyssey Bigvava focused on the fact that the Abkhazian-Nicaraguan political dialogue is steadily developing and the bilateral legal framework is expanding, and the agenda of interstate communication is being saturated with new projects and areas of activity. An important factor in this work is also the beginning of the work of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in Nicaragua. 
 
During the videoconference, the conviction was expressed that the implementation of the joint activities planned under the Program for 2022 will contribute to the further development and deepening of bilateral cooperation on a stable and long-term basis in the interests of the peoples of Abkhazia and Nicaragua.
