Karen Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Artsakh and Daur Kove , the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh on August 28.

The Abkhaz side was also attended by Irakli Tuzhba, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Adgur Chegia, the Head of the Strategic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

Opening the meeting Karen Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh greeted the guests from Abkhazia and noted that this visit of the delegation of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia was yet another confirmation of the traditionally high level of bilateral relations between our countries.

During the meeting the sides also exchanged views on the current military and political situation in the region.

In turn, Daur Kove thanked his colleagues for the warm welcome of the delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia and wished to the nation of Artsakh peaceful and creative development and prosperity.

Following the meeting the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Foreign Ministries of two countries. This Memorandum will be the first official bilateral document signed between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Artsakh.
