The regular consultations were held in Moscow within the framework of the foreign policy coordination mechanism established by the Memorandum between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia dated on March 11, 2015.
They were attended by Igor Akhba, the Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation and Alexey Pavlovsky, the Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
A wide range of topics was discussed including the bilateral issues as well as some aspects of the foreign policy interaction between the two countries and the situation in the region.
They also spoke on the topical issues of the Abkhaz-Russian relations including in terms of improving the legal framework of bilateral cooperation.
The practice of regular mutual information and consultation will continue.
