The accreditation procedure of journalists of foreign mass media in the Republic of Abkhazia
Accreditation of journalists from foreign mass media in the Republic of Abkhazia is carried out in accordance with the Regulations on the procedure for accreditation of journalists from foreign mass media in the Republic of Abkhazia.
The Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia carries out accreditation of foreign journalists.
The list of documents required for the accreditation of foreign journalists:
- An official letter on receiving accreditation addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
- Completed application form. All the points of the application must be completed without exception. If there is no necessary information the application cannot be accepted for consideration.
- Copy of the applicant's passport (sent by e-mail). Please make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months before the planned entrance to Abkhazia.
- Copy of the visa.
- Copy of the Press Card.
- An invitation from the inviting party of the Republic of Abkhazia (if any).

The decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on issuing temporary accreditation is made within 5 working days from the day following the day of receipt of the package of documents.
The respective certificate of accreditation (accreditation card) is issued to the representatives of foreign mass media who received a temporary accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
To receive an accreditation card, correspondents of foreign mass media have to contact the Foreign Ministry upon arrival in the Republic of Abkhazia:
