61st round of the Geneva International Discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasus took place in Geneva on June 25 and 26, 2024. Representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Russian Federation and the United States took part in the discussions, which were co-chaired by the UN, OSCE and the EU.
On June 12, 2024 Acting Minister, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Odissei Bigvava held a meeting with the Co-Chairs of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus - European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar, UN Representative Cihan Sultanoğlu and Special Representative of the OSCE Chair-in-Office for the South Caucasus Viorel Moșanu.
On March 13, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Iraklii Tuzhba held a meeting with the Co-Chairs of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus - with the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar, the UN Representative Cihan Sultanoğlu and the OSCE Representative Siegfried Wöber. From the Abkhazian side, the meeting was attended by the officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, participants in the Geneva discussions Lasha Avidzba and Artur Gaguliia. The main topic of the meeting was the agenda for the upcoming 60th round of the Geneva International Discussions.
On December 5-6, 2023, the 59th round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasia took place in Geneva, in which representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, the Russian Federation and the United States took part. Discussions were co-chaired by the UN, EU and OSCE.
On November 30, the Russian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Irakli Tuzhba, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, head of the Abkhaz delegation at the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus and Mikhail Galuzin, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
On November 22, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Iraklii Tuzhba held a meeting with the Co-Chairs of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus - with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar, the UN Representative Cihan Sultanoğlu and with the OSCE Co-Chairma
On July 11-12, 2023, the 58th round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasus was held in Geneva, which was attended by representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, the Russian Federation and the United States under the co-chairmanship of the UN, the EU and the OSCE.
On June 28, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Iraklii Tuzhba met with the Co-Chairs of the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus - with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar, the UN Representative Cihan Sultanoğlu and the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the South Caucasus Viorel Moșanu. From the Abkhazian side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Security Service of the Republic of Abkhazia Zaal Khvartskiia, officers of the MFA of Abkhazia Lasha Avidzba and Artur Gaguliia. Traditionally, the main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the agenda of the upcoming 58th round of the Geneva International Discussions.
