The first day of the latest round of talks opened with an information session dedicated to the international experience of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM).

On June 4, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia between Deputy Foreign Minister Odissei Bigvava and the Co-Chairs of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasia: UN Co-Chair Khaled Khiari, EU Co-Chair Magdalena Grono, and OSCE Co-Chair Christoph Ernst Špäti.

On May 19, a meeting between Oleg Bartsits, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, and Mikhail Galuzin, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation took place at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ahead of the 67-th round of the International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Caucasus (IDS).

The 66th round of the Geneva International Discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia concluded in Geneva. The meeting, which was attended by representatives of Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Georgia, Russia, and the United States, as well as the co-chairs from the UN, OSCE, and the EU, once again demonstrated the fundamental differences in the parties' approaches to the current state of affairs in the region.
