On the occasion of the 25-th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, the jubilee edition "The diplomacy of the Republic of Abkhazia: 25 years at the service of a sovereign state" was prepared.

Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister met Alexei Dvinyanin, the new Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia in connection with the delivery of copies of credentials on May 14, 2018.

The meeting of the representatives of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry with Irakli Khintba, the Assistant of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Director General of the State Russian Drama Theater named after F.A. Iskander (RUSDDRAM) was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia on May 8, 2018. It was dedicated to the 25-th anniversary of the establishment of the Abkhazian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The inauguration ceremony of Vladimir Putin, the Russian President was at the Andreevsky Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

On May 2, 2018, the Committee of Ministers’ Deputies of the Council of Europe adopted another decision, which reflects the firm support for the territorial integrity of Georgia. The decision also noted that the conflict is between Russia and Georgia. The Council of Europe also positively assessed the new peace initiative of the Georgian government "A Step to a better future."

Alexei Dvinyanin, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia visited the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in Moscow.

Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met with Arayik Harutyunyan, the State Minister of Artsakh Republic. The participants discussed the prospects and plans for the development of bilateral cooperation during the meeting.
