The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia accepts documents from citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia, graduates of secondary schools, to participate in the competitive selection for admission to the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

On May 13, Daur Kove, Foreign Minister held a regular video conference with the co-chairs of the Geneva international discussions on security and stability in the Caucasus.

Gvadzhava, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela took part in an international video press conference with the Nicolas Maduro Moros, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on May 6, 2020 at the invitation of the Foreign Ministry of Venezuela.

The “difficult situation in the occupied territories” related to the coronavirus pandemic was touched on during the video conference of G. Gakhariya, the Prime Minister of Georgia with Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission. The Prime Minister of Georgia spoke in detail on «the situation in the regions», using obviously, the set of phrases necessary in such cases.

Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia held a meeting with Louise Winton, the UNDP Resident Representative on April 17,2020.

The elections of the President of the Republic were held in Abkhazia on March 22, 2020.
