Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsyts sent words of gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev for congratulations on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The note states, in particular:

"Our states and peoples are connected by centuries-old bonds of brotherhood, mutual respect and support. Cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia is at the highest level, and I am confident that we, dear Akhsar Muratovich, together will strengthen and expand the relations between our countries."
